Supporting Grass Roots Football in Stamford Posted On 30 April 2021

Richardson are always supporting local community events and now we have forged ahead with sponsoring grass roots football

Blackstone Junior Football Club was started in 2001 by Justin Osborne whom later teamed up with Neil Stevenson to look after the development of hundreds of children of all abilities.

Richardsons are now proudly sponsoring Blackstones Under 7s who joined the Peterborough And District Junior Alliance League after Lockdown 2.0. So far, the team has won all but one game and has had a team player picked to play for the feeder organisation Peterborough Junior Blues who feed Peterborough United with the region’s brightest talent.

Blackstones are a major community hub for grass roots football and are looking for talented 6, 7 and 8 year olds (Year 2, 3 & 4’s) for Wednesday training and dads or mums who want to be trained from novices to be supportive coaches.

Right now Blackstones has the need for a coach, with or without experience, to run the 7 & 8 year olds Development team to spot and nurture talent before going in to the first team squads. Saturday or Sunday mornings for one hour.

All enquiries to Neil Stevenson
