Pubs in Stamford reopen after third lockdown Posted On 16 April 2021

The High Street and pubs with beer gardens reopened this week

Following the Tier 3 closures of late autumn and full lockdown throughout the winter, people made their way back to the High Street and pubs and restaurants this week in and around Stamford.

The High Street has been busy throughout the week with people finally able to go clothes shopping, and being able to venture into non-essential shops for the first time this year.

And with the sunshine showing itself, people have been enjoying themselves in beer gardens around Stamford and Rutland. The Danish Invader, The George Hotel, The Stamford Post and The Golden Fleece were just a few of the town centre bars open again.

Meanwhile, further afield, The White Horse Inn in Empingham and Barnsdale Hll Hotel have also opened with plenty of outdoor seating. Its been a steady reopening with few problems reported and most following social distancing guidelines.

Pubs, restaurants and non-essential shops weren’t the only places to have reopened, with gyms and swimming pools also opening their doors for the first time this year, and for people fed up of home workouts and walks, this has been a god-send too…

Have you been to the pub or gym yet? We would love to hear your thoughts…
