A blooming good day out Posted On 16 July 2021

Belvoir Flower and Garden Show is not one to miss

If you’re near Grantham (or even if you’re not) this weekend, the Belvoir Flower and Garden Show – brought to you by Halcyon Days Garden Events and set in the gorgeous Capability Brown-landscaped grounds of Belvoir Castle – is an event you don’t want to miss.

Running for a fourth consecutive year, the two-day extravaganza is set to delight visitors on July 17-18th. The show will run from 9.45am to 4.30pm on both days and offers a range of enticing displays for budding horticulturalists. Early-bird tickets have sold out, but tickets can be purchased on the day for £15. Under-16s can gain free entry with a paying adult and it is worth noting numbers will be capped in line with Government guidance so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

The talks stage will feature well-known specialists and experts, as well as beautiful floral demonstrations by Jonathon Mosely, one of the UK’s leading designers in the floral art world and ia regular feature at all the major RHS shows including Chelsea, Hampton Court, Tatton and Malvern. David Domoney, Britain’s only chartered horticultural TV presenter, will also make an appearance on the Sunday.

There will also be an opportunity to take a little bit of the inspiration you are sure to find at the show back to your own garden as some of the UK’s finest nurseries and growers are selling their wares. The show gardens and borders are sure to inspire and the show will also display produce from craft retailers, sculpture artists as well as tools and garden furniture.

Wander round the gardens at your leisure listening to sounds from the music stage as you go. Various food and drink vendors promise culinary delights.
